U.S shipment totals impressive for Triton-
Friday, July 21, 2006 8:34 AM In 2005, Triton saw an increase of 21 percent in its U.S. 2005 ATM shipments, and significant growth in several targeted international markets, according to President Brian Kett. The award-winning ATM manufacturer, celebrating a quarter-century in business this year, expects growth in shipments in 2006.
Triton shipped a total of 20,481 automated teller machines worldwide in 2005, with 14,782 of those shipments representing U.S. sales, a 21% increase from its 2004 U.S. shipments. International sales numbers increased in several targeted markets including Asia, Australia, Canada and South Africa. However, the total number of ATM shipments worldwide increased only modestly in 2005 over 200
Strong sales of Triton’s popular models including the 9100 series and the RL5000 continue to fuel growth. Triton’s most popular ATM continues to be its 9100 series, offering functionality and performance at low price point for retailers. The RL5000, a high quality, embedded PC-based model, is Triton’s second best-selling product due to its popularity with both major retail chains and for financial placements. Triton’s new “through the wall” models, the FT5000 and RT2000 were also strong contributors to success in 2005.
Kett said Triton’s numbers reflected a strong sales year for the ATM manufacturer, whose facility and employees were temporarily impacted by Hurricane Katrina in the later part 2005. Kett said due to the impact Katrina had on our employees, the manufacturing facility was essentially closed for three weeks after the storm. In the following weeks, Kett said the main focus was on helping employees with their personal recovery efforts.
“This past year was a tremendous year for Triton. Even though 2005 brought us many challenges, with the help and dedication of our sales partners and with the resilience of our employees we were able to end the year with numerous successes, many of which exceeded our own expectations.” said Triton President Brian Kett.
Triton expects to see continued strength in both retail and financial markets with the launch of two new significant product offerings. The recently launched 8100 model, with a new merchant replenished designed mechanism will allow ISO’s a new best-value ATM for lower-volume retail locations. For the financial institution market, the soon to be released FT7000 Series, is a high-quality, full-function ATM, that is ideal for banking locations.
In 2006, Triton plans to build on its successes in the retail industry by continuing to provide high-quality, cost-effective ATM solutions. Additionally, as financial institutions seek options to make their ATMs more profitable, Triton is offering full banking solutions that will help set a new standard in this market.

Triton Continues to Provide the Best Value in Cash Dispensing Options-
Friday, July 21, 2006 8:36AM In 1994, Triton set the standard for off-premise cash dispensing, when they rolled out the first modern dial-up ATM, the 9500 series. Celebrating a quarter-century in business this year, Triton continues to develop the highest quality, most reliable ATM solutions, providing the best value in the industry.
The 8100 model, Triton’s latest innovation for the retail market, is on track to be another success story for the ATM manufacturer. With a small design that increases shipping and delivery options, the 8100 features a new merchant replenished designed mechanism which provides additional convenience to merchants as a new best value ATM for lower volume retail locations. Cost conscious retailers who know the importance of having an ATM at their business, but may not have as many transactions per month to warrant a model with additional, costly features, have quickly embraced this new best value model.
“We have been very pleased with the 8100. The units have been running really strong,” said Steve Allard, Managing Member with Automated Financial, an ATM Independent Sales Organization (ISO). “The 8100 provides a low maintenance, low cost option; and the quality is there, after all it is a Triton.”
The 8100 features Triton’s new TDM-50 dispensing mechanism. The TDM-50’s top loading single cassette is easier to handle and requires less time for the merchant to load. Allard stated that the new TDM-50 is easy for the merchant to replenish cash and maintain based on transaction volume. “It is smaller, but it is a good value,” said Allard.
This smaller model ATM comes shipped in two parts, providing increased shipping options and ease of on-site delivery. An additional feature, unique to the 8100 model, includes the new Triton-rated cabinet, which is ideal for merchant tended locations.
“We design all of our ATMs to be an overall best value product for customers,” said Triton President Brian Kett. The 8100, like all Triton products, incorporates all the right ingredients to serve customers well for the long term.”
The 8100 includes the basic essentials of an ATM, takes up the least amount of space, and provides all the customer convenience associated with having an ATM on-site. The 8100 offers reliability, simplicity of operation, and a low cost of ownership and maintenance, which have made Triton ATMs the choice for off-premise retail settings. Allard said his standard for judging the quality of ATM equipment is by how well it serves the customer and gives the customer what they want – cash.
“There are not a lot of frills; no bells and whistles with the 8100. But it does what it is supposed to do. It dispenses cash and does it very well,” said Steve Allard.
“Merchants know the value of putting cash in their customers’ hands,” said Steve Polk, Triton’s Director of Retail Sales for North America. “By providing customers with easy access to their money, you can increase their spending power. The most cost effective way to do this is to have a Triton ATM on-site.”
By incorporating the latest technology with the popular attributes of its first, revolutionary ATM nearly 11 years ago - small, convenient and affordable - Triton remains the dominant supplier of ATMs to the retail market.

Triton Offers Complete ATM Banking Solution With Launch of Prism Software and XP ATM Products -
Friday, July 21, 2006 8:38 AM Prism opens up new possibilities for financial institutions at an affordable price-point.
As financial institutions are faced with costly upgrades due to ATM compliance issues or to replace an aging ATM fleet, more are looking for a cost-effective ATM solution. For financial institutions, a plan to integrate Triton ATMs and run Prism software is an opportunity to drive down maintenance and operating costs and satisfy regulatory requirements simply and effectively.
With the recent launch of Prism, Triton’s robust, web-enabled ATM software solution, and its line of XP or banking model ATMs, Triton is well-positioned to be a major player with banks and credit unions by offering a complete turnkey banking solution similar to the ATM offering that has helped them set the standard in the retail market.
With Prism, Triton now offers a cost-effective alternative software package for financial institutions to use on its current and next generation ATM hardware. Prism features standard 912 emulation and uses Microsoft’s industry-standard XFS interface, which enables the same application to run on any windows-capable ATM. Prism allows for seamless integration and compatibility with an existing ATM network with single or multiple vendors.
Prism software allows financial institutions to differentiate services, provide an enhanced customer experience with customized screens and develop new revenue-generating services with simplicity and flexibility. Prism will strengthen marketing programs with rich screen content created by using readily available off-the-shelf software packages. Prism can connect to an existing web server to run one-to-one marketing and bank specific third-party applications.
Triton’s new banking line of ATMs includes the RL5000xp lobby unit and the FT5000xp through-the-wall unit. The design of these new models is based on its popular XScale product versions, but with XP software and all the security and functionality you would expect in a banking ATM. Later this year, Triton will launch its FT7000, a full-service banking ATM with depository.
“As financial institutions look for more options to make their ATM program operate as a profit center, they are exploring the avenues that have proven to be successful in the retail ATM market,” said James Phillips, Triton’s Senior Manager of Financial Institution Sales. “It is only fitting that they would look to a company that continues to set the standard in the retail ATM market for a solution to provide another level of customer service without breaking the bank.”
With Triton’s Prism Software and line-up of banking ATMs, the possibilities are plenty, but the cost is not. For Value Added Resellers (VARS) of Triton equipment, Prism software opens up new sales opportunities to integrate Triton ATMs into a bank or credit union’s existing ATM fleet with ease. Also, Prism opens up new possibilities for smaller to mid-sized financial institutions at an attractive price point.
“Triton can provide the right banking equipment and software at the right price to integrate into an existing fleet or replace an aging one,” said Phillips. “Additionally, with our VAR program, we can offer affordable outsourcing programs at the best price, furthering profitability options for financial institutions.”
